Detoxification, or detox, refers to the process of removing toxins from the body.
A toxin can be anything that not only have no nutritional or other values to the body but actually causes harm or cost the body valuable energy and resources just to get rid of it or store it in the tissues. They can be exogenous and endogenous.
Exogenous toxins are chemicals that are made outside of our body and can harm out cells if they are ingested, inhaled, or absorbed into the bloodstream through some other channel.
Endogenous toxins are toxins that are produced inside of our body. Some of these toxins are waste products from normal metabolic activities such as carbon dioxide, urea, lactic acid and incomplete digestion.
We live in a world that is more and more polluted every day and therefore it is impossible for us to escape from the bad impact of the exogenous toxins in our bodies, that´s why it is really important to pay especial attention to manage the endogenous toxins if we want to keep healthy.
Our body is very well equipped to eliminate both, exogenous and endogenous toxins. As exogenous toxins are out of our control I am going to focus on endogenous toxins.
The most harmful source of endogenous toxins is incomplete digestion that occur when people have a lack of chewing and/or when people eat food that is unfriendly with their bodies, for example, food that can not be digested like gluten, or food that spoil their digestive system like added-sugar products among others due to poor eating habits.
Even healthy food turns into poisoning food if there’s a lack of chewing.
Due to the incomplete metabolism, some food remains intact and that no metabolized food generates lots of toxins that will go into the bloodstream and will be sprayed all over the body.
To get rid of all those harmful toxins the body needs to retain water to dissolve them and make easier the process to excrete them within the urine but that process demand a lot of energy.
As most of people follow the health and nutrition authority’s recommendation to eat several times on daily basis, 3, 4, 5 and even 6 times a day including snacks, the body never stop processing food and cleansing processes are postponed as a consequence, resulting in weight gaining because of the accumulation of toxins and water, and this accumulation is known as inflammation which, in excess will spoil cells and tissues, leading to illnesses.
When symptoms appear people go to the doctors looking for a solution and doctors usually smile and say: “don’t worry because there’s a new drug or a new “magic treatment” in the market that will help you to reduce the symptoms” and naïve people return home released from all worries, they start taking the drugs but as they remain strongly tied to their same bad eating patterns they won’t eliminate the real cause of the symptoms. Maybe some of the symptoms reduce but at the end they’ll be worsened or people will experience new ones because then drugs become a new source of endogenous toxins forcing the inner cleansing organs to overwork getting exhausted sooner, and ending in failure.
With that picture in mind is easy to understand why none of the cleansing treatments available in the market are as effective as people expect: none of them consider to cut off the sources of contamination as the most effective way to clean the body.
Since ancient times wise people were fully aware of the importance of cutting down meals to allow the body to focus only in cleansing processes which is called fasting and even though its effectiveness and benefits for the body are widely known, people will consciously or unconsciously keep following the current strong marketing campaigns that promote food consumption and drugs consumption leading them to health deterioration.
In conclusion, a real and very effective detoxification process focuses on cutting off the food that is unfriendly with your body, and at the same time, enhances the food that is body friendly, also cuts down on meals and finally avoids spoiling cooking methods such as traditional grilling and frying.
Knowledge is in my opinion the strongest and the most effective tool people need to wake up and to be able to see the whole picture.
Your health has been, is and will always be your entire and unique responsibility, there’s nothing to seek outside, behave wisely! source
Start by stop eating after 8:00pm.
